In an impressive
show of skillfulness 16 year old BCC sophomore student Ebony Walters took
the Montgomery County Public Schools gymnastics title during the county’s
meet at Bethesda Chevy Chase High School on May 8 in Bethesda, Maryland.
One more to add to her achievements.

reported on Ebony back in 2004 when she started her gymnastic career and
has been following her since. Ebony has evolved into a beautiful young
lady full of energy and passion for the sport of gymnastics. After
competing for a while she took a break from the sports to spend some
quality teenage time with her friends but soon find herself back at it
after she enrolled at Bethesda Chevy Chase High School.
Ebony showed poise and calm as she went through her
routines. She placed first or second in all four of her events. Ebony
skillfulness helped her to produce a meet best score of 38.25 to win the
all-around competition which also helped BCC to retain the county’s title
they won in 2007. Ebony will now compete in the county all around
championship on Wednesday May 21, 2008 at Urundel High in Gambrills.
Congratulations Ebony and we are still
watching.
